Wireless Network Engineering

When designing a wireless network, we consider a number of different factors:

  • What is its purpose, and what application will run off the wireless system?
  • What type of wireless system is suitable (WAN, LAN or MAN)
  • Performance requirements
  • Security requirements
  • Scalability
  • Meshing
  • Users groups (Employee, Guest etc., and number of users)
  • Management of the system once installed

Getting the basics right is fundamental to achieving the optimal design. We conduct a site survey or a predicted survey as well as producing heat maps to provide us with a detailed view of the infrastructure.
Applications are directly linked to the user groups. The application may include mobile VOIP, handled scanner, wireless CCTV, with different administration rights within each group.
